Nominate a National Service Member for the Spirit of Service Awards

As you know, each year AmeriCorps and the Corporation for National and Community Service pay tribute to the most outstanding participants in National Service programs with the annual Spirit of Service Awards. In addition to honoring the best AmeriCorps members and Alumni, we have also launched a new corporate award to honor the best private sector partners.

AmeriCorps has a lot to be proud of, but even more important is to continue to expand our services and recruit new participants into our programs. It is important to highlight and recognize good examples of our best volunteers to thank them, but also because we all understand that personal stories are the best inspiration for others to serve. AmeriCorps members are the best recruiters. As you consider your nomination, please think of the power of that story to serve as a catalyst for recruitment.

Take a few minutes before February 17 to focus on the accomplishments of your members and alumni and then go to www.cns.gov/about/spiritofservice/index.asp and nominate your very best members and former members and your best corporate partner.
