Local 4-H clubs to hold Haiti relief fundraiser for Red Cross

Leading up to the February 10 game at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston, 4-Hers will be selling tickets to the game for $13 – one dollar less than fans typically pay at the box office. Youth will also hold a raffle during the game for items donated locally, and they will manage the Chuck-A-Puck contest on game night.
“Even with big celebrities raising millions of dollars, 4-Hers decided that they wanted to take a role and do what they could,” said Matthew Fornoff, organizer of the event and AmeriCorps VISTA with University of Maine Extension.
“After all, this is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of real people when they genuinely need it. That’s what 4-H is all about.”
